Kenneth Marunowski is a plein air (in open air) and studio painter who loves exploring the great outdoors through his creative practice. In 2015 Ken completed a two-week intensive painting course at the New York Studio School in New York City and then traveled throughout New England, especially the White Mountains of New Hampshire, exploring the landscape both in paintings and on foot. Winter 2016, the artist painted the rocky crags of Smith Rock State Park and other stunning landscapes of Central Oregon. Awarded a Summer 2016 Artist Fellowship at the Marchutz School of Fine Art in Aix-en-Provence, France, Ken painted along with the students, participated in art criticism seminars, and offered a lecture to the university community. Ken now continues his artistic journey in Bend, Oregon.
